OUR MISSION
The mission of Hope City is to reach people with the hope filled message of Jesus.
OUR VISION
The vision of Hope City is to be a church that is
both IN the city and FOR the city.
IN THE CITY - FOR THE CITY
both IN the city and FOR the city.
IN THE CITY - FOR THE CITY
OUR VALUES
These 8 Core Values are the filter & guide to everything that we do.
This is our heartbeat. This is how we roll.
1. JESUS is our MESSAGE
"We are Jesus people"
We believe the entire Bible is a story pointing towards Jesus. Our methods will most likely change through the years, but our message will never change. Jesus will always be our message.2. PRAYER is our FOUNDATION
"We fight on our knees"
Prayer doesn't change God, but it can move God and change us. Private prayer produces public power. We will work like it depends on us, but pray like it depends on God.
(Matthew 6:5-13 & 21:13)

(Matthew 6:5-13 & 21:13)
3. FAITH is our LIFESTYLE
"We have big faith and see a bright future"
With God all things are possible so we don't play it safe. We dream God-sized dreams, pray God-sized prayers, and believe for the impossible. We walk by faith and not by sight.
(Hebrews 11)

(Hebrews 11)
4. DIVERSITY is our STRENGTH
"We celebrate our differences"
We don’t ignore what makes us different. We acknowledge, celebrate, and learn from what makes us different. Thank God we’re all not the same. That would be so boring! At Hope City we understand that it takes all of us to do what God has called us to accomplish. Everyone is welcomed at our church. All ages, backgrounds, shapes, colors, educations, salaries, neighborhoods, political proclivities, all stories. We believe a healthy church looks like the city that it is in. We love our church because we look like Racine. And that's a beautiful thing.
(Revelation 7:9)

5. UNITY is our SHIELD
"We protect our house"
It is unity that commands the blessing of the Lord. We really beleive that we are better together. Finding common ground ushers in Holy Ground. The enemy is not afraid of a big church, but he is absolutely terrified of an united one. Jesus said that a house divided against itself cannot stand. Because of this fact, we do not tolerate the poisons of gossip, complaining, backbiting, discord and division. They are confronted and dealt with swiftly.
(Psalm 133)

6. FAMILY is our HEART
"We do life together"
At Hope City we are not just people who go to the same church once a week - we are family. The truth is that we were created for community. The early church modeled this for us. Even Jesus Himself lived His life in community. Our church is filled with so many amazing people with awesome stories. If your most meaningful conversation only consists of "how you doing?" and "see you next week" then you're missing out on the benefit, support, and power that comes from being a part of a church family.
(Hebrews 10:24-25)

7. GENEROSITY is our JOY
"We are blessed to be a blessing"
There is something about being generous that rejuvinates your soul. As you refresh others you will be refreshed. Generosity opens up a big world for you. It expands perspectives and introduces you to a whole new context of possibilities.
(Proverbs 11:34-25)

8. LEGACY is our RESPONSIBILITY
"We have an eternal perspective"
What we do today will affect tomorrow. We are comitted to fighting giants so that the next generation won't have to. Only what we do to impact eternity will last. What will be said about our church, our lives, and what we did when we're gone?
